Brazen bear breaks into candy store

A sweet-toothed bear has broken into the same candy store for the fourth time.

The black bear was caught on camera forcing its way into a candy shop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where it helped itself to sugary treats before making a calm getaway.

The latest raid was shared by Glades Homemade Candies in a Facebook post that has since gone viral, showing the bear confidently entering the store as if it owned the place.

According to staff, this wasn't a daring first offence, but a well-practised routine.

The animal has now broken into the store four separate times, each visit following a familiar pattern: smash entry, grab snacks, vanish into the night.

Footage shows the bear lumbering through the store, knocking items from shelves and sampling stock with impressive efficiency. Staff say the animal caused damage but appeared far more interested in sugar than destruction.

No one was injured in the latest break-in, and the bear escaped before the authorities arrived.

Pair launch GoFundMe to fly dog to wedding

A couple have launched a GoFundMe campaign to make sure their beloved dog can attend their wedding.

The family explained that their dog is not simply a pet, but a constant companion who has supported them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Writing on their GoFundMe page, they said: "He's been with us through everything -- moves, losses, anxiety and recovery.

"He's our family, and the thought of getting married without him there breaks our hearts."

The couple said they were shocked to discover just how expensive it would be to bring their dog to the ceremony, which is taking place away from home.

Because of his health needs and anxiety, kennels are not an option, and specialist transport, paperwork, veterinary checks and pet-friendly accommodation are required.

They continued: "We never imagined it would cost this much... but leaving him behind simply isn't an option for us.

"He deserves to be part of this moment as much as anyone else."

In their appeal, the family were keen to stress that they are not asking for luxury extras.

They said: "This isn't about spoiling him or doing something extravagant. It's about keeping our family together on one of the most important days of our lives."

The fundraiser has sparked debate online, with some critics questioning whether wedding-related costs should be crowdfunded.

But the couple addressed this head-on, writing: "We completely understand that not everyone will agree with this, and that's okay. No one is under any obligation to donate -- even sharing kind words means the world to us."

Ghost 'captured' on CCTV

Pub staff are convinced they are sharing their local with a mischievous ghost after CCTV footage appeared to show a pint glass being knocked clean off a table with nobody anywhere near it.

The eerie incident was captured at a pub long rumoured to be haunted, when a freshly poured drink suddenly slid across a table and smashed onto the floor.

Staff say the unexplained moment has reinforced long-held beliefs that the building has a supernatural resident.

The pub's manager said the incident happened while the bar was quiet and no customers were nearby.

He's quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "We were just going about our normal jobs when we heard the glass smash.

"When we checked the CCTV, there was absolutely no one near the table. It just moved on its own."

The footage shows the pint sitting still for several seconds before appearing to jolt and topple, sending beer everywhere.

Staff insist there was no vibration, draft or accidental knock that could explain it.

The manager added: "You can clearly see the glass move sideways. It wasn't on the edge, it wasn't wobbling -- it genuinely looks like something pushed it."

The pub has a long reputation for strange goings-on, including unexplained noises, objects moving, and doors opening on their own.

Workers say the latest incident fits perfectly with what they've experienced before.

A staff member said: "We've always joked about the ghost. But after seeing this, it's hard not to believe something odd is going on. It's definitely not the first strange thing that's happened here."
